The clouds of war drift over the Manhattan piers, as the S. S. Normandie rests at her final destination before being seized by the U.S government, still resplendent in her peace time livery, while the now His Majesties Transport (HMT) Queen Mary has already been requistioned by the British Admiralty and converted to serve as a troop transport.
Behind them the HMT Aquatania already a veteran of WWI passes down river.
